Water Tanks
Post-tension water tanks are prestressed concrete storage tanks reinforced with post-tensioning tendons (internal bonded tendons) in accordance with AWWA D115 and ACI 350. High-strength steel tendons apply compression to the tank floor, walls, and roof to counteract applied forces and provide residual compression, enhancing watertightness and long-term durability.
Suitable for liquid and granular material storage, tanks can be constructed in various shapes to meet project needs.
Advantages of Water Tanks
- Geometric flexibility
- High watertightness standards
- Significant savings in construction costs
- Reduced long-term maintenance
Post-Tensioning Methods for Water Tanks
- Vertical Post-Tensioning
- Circular Prestressing
Benefits of Post-Tensioning for Water Tanks
- Long-term performance and structural stability are greatly enhanced with post-tensioning.
- Post-tensioning of water treatment tanks provides a fast, efficient, and economical construction method.
- Combining post-tensioning with a fast, slip-formed approach enables rapid delivery for industrial or factory expansions.
